Safety Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA) provides a uniform approach to health, safety and environmental awareness training across the utilities sector, in line with Health and Safety Executive guidelines.
This one day course is designed for those working on operational sites within the gas industry, both permanent and temporary, at all levels including operatives, supervisors and management. The course has been developed in collaboration with employers and key stakeholders across the industry to ensure the content is all relevant – helping to improve the safety of the workforce and reduce costs associated with injury, illness or accidents.
SHEA Gas consists of the following 9 modules:
For the initial SHEA Gas EUSR registration, there are two options:
SHEA assessments (tests) are multiple choice and structured so that there is an assessment per module. They can be taken one module at a time, or all together at the same time. Individuals must successfully complete training and assessment for all 9 modules.
Reminder: It is a specific condition for all CSCS Partner Card Schemes that assessments are invigilated.
Invigilation of assessments will ensure the results are authentic and reliable, and mitigate the risk of identity fraud, cheating or collusion.
SHEA Gas EUSR registration is valid for five years.
For the renewal of SHEA Gas EUSR registration, there are several routes:
The CSCS Logo allows individuals access to CSCS-regulated operational sites for utilities work. The EUSR ID card includes the CSCS Logo, minimizing the need for multiple cards.
